Our consultants conduct needs assessments and work with you to plan what relevant processes or structures you need to maximize the fit between your workers and agency policies.
Presently we are involved in a major initiative with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Our therapists are the preferred consultants to conduct Functional Work Capacity Assessments. These evaluations determine whether or not a particular job is safe and productive for a worker to return to.
Our assessors exercise sound judgement, occupational analysis and clinical experience to determine job suitability. Evaluations are conducted on-site with employer, worker and WSIB representation present. We conduct physical functional testing, ergonomic evaluation and industry research to ensure all aspects of a proposed job before determining if in fact it match a worker’s medical restrictions. Our therapists also recommend modifications to the work environment to increase safety, accessibility and utilize adaptive aids.
We are integral in devising return to work plans as well as identifying needs for on-the-job training or vocational rehabilitation. All of our assessors are PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)-compliant and attend any given job-site with the necessary safety equipment.
